Switch
The plunger (4), contact plate (8) and plunger shaft (2) are
made as one unit. When the key switch is turned to "START"
position, the plunger is drawn in and thus clutch pinion
shaft (1) is forced out. This meshes the pinion gear and
the ring gear, and causes the contact plate to close the
contacts, causing the main current to flow into the armature.
When releasing the key switch, the plunger is returned to its
former position by a return spring (3).
