Radiator Cap Opening Pressure
1. Set a radiator tester on the radiator cap.
2. Apply the pressure of 88 kPa (0.9 kgf/cm2, 13 psi) and
measure the time for the pressure to fall to 59 kPa

Thermostat
1.
Remove the thermostat cover.
2. Remove the thermostat.
(When reassembling)
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1215 or equivalent) to
the gasket.
Water Pump
1.
Remove the water pump from the gear case cover.
2. Remove the fan, the pulley anj the flange (1).
3.
Press out the water pump shaft

with the impeller

on it.
4. Remove the impeller from the water shaft.
5. Remove the mechanical seal (4).
(When reassembling)
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1215 or equ iva lent) to
the gasket.
• Replace the mechanical seal with the new one.
