Output Characteristics
1. Make the connections as shown in the figure and turn on
"SW1" and "SW2".
2. Increase the alternator speed while adjusting the load
resistance so that the voltage complies with the factory
specification.
3. Read the speed at which the current is equal to the
factory specification.
4. The speed must be below the factory specification.
5. Decrease the speed so that the current approaches zero,
then turn off "SW1" and "SW2".
Troubleshooting
1. If the unit does not generate electricity.
1) Directly ground terminal "F".
(Do not ground any terminal other than terminal "F"J
2) Perform a no-load characteristic test and an output
F
test. If the tests show no problem, the altenator itself
is not defective.
2. If the output voltage is too high
• Check the voltage at terminal "F". If the voltage does
not vary, it may be due to a mulfuncting regulator, or
a grounded rotor "F" side terminal.
