Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Do not clean any of the components with pressurised water.
Keep the display screen of your control unit clean. Dirt can
cause faulty brightness detection.
Clean your control unit using a soft cloth dampened only
with water. Do not use cleaning products of any kind.
Note: The Kiox 400C control unit may fog up under certain
temperature and humidity conditions. This is not an error.
Put the eBike in a heated room.
Have your eBike checked by an expert at least once a year
(including mechanical parts, up-to-dateness of system soft-
ware).
In addition, the service date based on the distance travelled
and/or on a period of time can be entered at a service
centre. In this case, the control unit displays a message
telling you when the service date is due each time it is
switched on.
Please have your eBike serviced and repaired by a specialist
workshop.
Please make sure you have all repairs carried out by a
u
service centre.
Note: If you are handing in your eBike to a service centre for
maintenance, it is recommended that you deactivate <Lock
& Alarm>.
Note: If you do not use the Kiox 400C control unit for a long
time, charge it in accordance with (see "Control Unit Power
Supply (Kiox 400C)", page English – 4).

Disposal and substances in products
You can find information about substances in products at the
following link:
www.bosch-ebike.com/en/material-compliance.
Do not dispose of eBikes and their components with house-
hold waste.
An in-store return is possible, provided the store voluntarily
offers a return or is legally obligated to do so. Refer to the na-
tional regulations in this case.
The individual eBike components as well as ac-
cessories and packaging should be recycled in
an environmentally friendly manner.
You must independently ensure that no per-
sonal data is stored on these eBike components any longer.
Batteries that can be removed from the eBike components
without destruction must be removed before disposal itself
and sorted for separate battery collection.
In accordance with Regulation (EU)
2023/1542, electrical and electronic equip-
ment that is no longer suitable for use and de-
fective or used rechargeable batteries/non-re-
chargeable batteries must be collected separ-
ately and recycled in an environmentally
friendly manner.
Electrical and electronic equipment are collected separately
for pre-sorting by type and helps to ensure that raw materi-
als are treated and recovered properly, thereby protecting
people and the environment.
