that are not being used must be sealed with a blind plug.

Assembly
Note: Do not use a ball end hex key on flat head hex screws.
Note: Please be aware that there are two different handlebar
diameters (31.8 mm and 35 mm). Your bicycle retailer will
help you to select the correct components.
Note: When installing the Purion 400 on-board computer,
refer to the recommended installation position (see fig-
ure A).
Securing on the Handlebars (see figure B)
Gently pull the clamp (4) apart and place it on the handle-
bars ❶. Ensure that the fastening screw (5) does not scratch
the handlebars and that the clamp on the cylindrical part of
the handlebars is installed as close to the stem as possible.
Insert the guide (6) of the on-board computer (1) into the
clamp (4) ❷.
Swivel the on-board computer (1) downwards and press the
on-board computer with the recesses (7) onto the locking
aid (8) of the clamp (4) ❸ until they click into place. Turn
the on-board computer (1), including the clamp (4), such
that it is as easy as possible to read the display while cycling
(sitting position).
Then carefully tighten the clamp and the on-board computer
using the fastening screw (5) ❹.
Before first use, remove the protective film from the
u
display in order to ensure the full functionality of the
on-board computer. If the protective film remains on the
display, this can impair the functionality/performance of
the on-board computer.
Operation
The on-board computer can be operated using one of the op-
erating units shown. The functions of the buttons on the op-
erating units can be found in the following overview.

Depending on how long it is pressed for, the select button
has 2 functions.

Note: The Purion 400 on-board computer is not compatible
BHU3500
with the Purion 200 operating unit.
