When you turn the main gear in the other direction to remove the strip of paper, both gears should be at the correct

distance to one another. Ideally, the engine pinion should be as close as possible to the main gear whilst ensuring
that the cogs do not touch, as this makes the gears too tight.
If the gears (engine pinion and main gear) are too far apart, the cogs on the main gear will be damaged by the
engine pinion after just a few seconds, which will void the warranty/guarantee!
On the other hand, when the motor pinion pushes against the main gear (gears are running without backlash), this
results in a loss of power, increased power consumption (the motor already needs a lot of power to turn the main
gear), as well as premature wear of the gears.
Replace the protective cover (C). Put the two rubber rings (B) on the retaining pin and reinsert the clip (A), as

shown in fig. 17.

17 Pairing function

To ensure that the 2.4 GHz remote control can transmit a signal without interference, the remote control and receiver
must have the same digital code. The digital encoding (connection between the remote control and receiver) can be
configured using the pairing function (also called "pairing").
The remote control and receiver are usually already paired when they leave the factory and can be used straight away.
The devices only need to be paired again if the remote control or receiver has been replaced or to correct a malfunc-
tion.
Proceed as follows:
Caution, important!
The EPA setting (see section 11.12) for the drive function must be set to maximum for both forward and
reverse travel (there must be no speed limit).
Then turn the "TH-D/R" knob (fig. 1, no. 10) and the "GYRO LV / ST-D/R" knob (fig. 1, no. 11) clockwise
as far as they will go.
Failure to do so may prevent the pairing process from being completed correctly, as the receiver
calibration also takes place during the pairing process (configuration of extreme positions for the
throttle lever and steering wheel).
Switch off the speed controller.

Switch off the transmitter.

Place the vehicle on a stable surface so that the wheels can turn freely.

Open the receiver box by loosening the 3 screws securing the cover and removing the cover.

Take the receiver out of the receiver box and position it horizontally near the receiver box. Use a piece of the

adhesive tape to fix the receiver in place.
Keep the "BIND" button for the pairing function (fig. 1, no. 3) pressed and turn on the transmitter. The LEDs (fig. 1,

no. 13) show a running light from left to right. Then release the "BIND" button. The transmitter will now search for
the receiver for approx. 10 seconds.
As you see the running light on the transmitter, turn on the speed controller by briefly pressing the on/off switch

(see fig. 4). A red LED on the switch lights up.
The receiver LED flashes several times and lights up permanently after a few seconds. The running light stops,

and the LEDs light up permanently (and indicate the battery status as usual).
The receiver is in calibration mode to be set to the extreme throttle positions (full throttle forward/reverse)
and the extreme positions for the left/right steering angle.
