10.2 Connecting the drive battery and turning on the speed controller

Important:
• Turn on the transmitter before connecting the drive battery.
• Do not touch the wheels or any part of the drive train and electrical circuit when connecting the battery.
• Only connect batteries that match the specifications given in 16. Technical data on page 33.
Prerequisites:
• The transmitter and model are bound.
- First-time users: refer to the transmitter instructions to learn more about binding
Connect the battery as follows:
1. Place the vehicle on a suitable surface so that the wheels can rotate freely.
2. Turn on the transmitter.
3. Ensure the speed controller switch is in the OFF position.
4. Place the drive battery into the model and connect the drive battery.
5. Set the speed controller switch to ON.

10.3 Function check

Important:
• Always leave the remote control turned on as long as the drive battery is connected to the model.
• Make sure everyone uses different frequencies while racing their cars in the same area.
Prerequisites:
• The transmitter is turned on and is bound.
- First-time users: refer to the transmitter instructions to learn more about binding
• The drive battery is connected to the model.
Do the following:
1. Place the vehicle on a suitable surface so that the wheels can rotate freely.
2. Check throttle response: Forward, Break, Reverse (See transmitter instructions)
3. Check stearing response: Left, Right (See transmitter instructions)
In case the model behaves erratically, locate and correct the problem before driving.
