Place the charger and drive battery on a non-flammable, heat-resistant surface (e.g. stone tiles). Keep the charger

and drive battery away from flammable objects. Maintain a sufficient distance between the charger and the drive
battery. Never place the drive battery on top of the charger.
Never charge damaged, leaking or deformed rechargeable batteries. This may cause a fire or explosion! Dis-

continue use immediately and dispose of such unusable rechargeable batteries in an environmentally friendly
manner.
Do not charge batteries when they are still hot (e.g. due to a high discharge current in the model). Allow the battery

to cool down to room temperature before charging it.
Both the charger and the drive batteries get hot during charging. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Never

cover the battery charger or drive batteries.
Never leave rechargeable batteries unattended when they are charging. Inspect the charger regularly to ensure

that the rechargeable battery is not overheating or expanding. This indicates an imminent risk of fire or explosion!
If the battery overheats or starts to expand, disconnect it from the charger immediately and take it to a location
where it will not cause any additional damage if it explodes or catches fire (e.g. outdoors).
When the drive battery is fully charged, disconnect it from the charger.

Rechargeable batteries should be charged regularly to prevent deep discharge due to self-discharge. This may

render the rechargeable batteries useless!
Lithium rechargeable batteries (e.g. LiPo drive batteries) show only a relatively low self-discharge, which means
it is enough to recharge them about every 3 months. There are different types of NiMH rechargeable batteries.
For conventional NiMH rechargeable batteries, we recommend recharging every 1-2 months or so; for NiMH
rechargeable batteries with a low self-discharge, recharging every 3-4 months is usually sufficient.
It is not recommended to fully charge lithium rechargeable batteries during an extended period of disuse. Nor-
mally, these rechargeable batteries should be stored at a charge level of about 50%, which corresponds to a
battery voltage of approx. 3.8 V for LiPo rechargeable batteries.
Always observe any additional information provided by the manufacturer, if available.
This vehicle is only suitable for two LiPo drive rechargeable batteries with 2 cells (rated voltage 7.4 V) or two LiPo

drive rechargeable batteries with 3 cells (rated voltage 11.1 V).
Drive batteries with more cells may cause a risk of fire due to speed controller overheating, which may result in the
vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the warranty/guarantee!
The two drive batteries must be identical (same number of cells, same rechargeable battery type, same capacity,
same discharge rate, same manufacturer, same type). Never use different drive rechargeable batteries together,
because there is a risk of fire! Both drive rechargeable batteries must also have the same state of charge. For
example, never connect a full and a half-full LiPo drive battery to the vehicle's speed controller to prevent a deep
discharge of a LiPo drive battery with a lower charge state, which will permanently damage the battery.
