For safety reasons, if the throttle lever (or the trim for the drive function) is not in the neutral position when
the speed controller is switched on, the LED on the speed controller will flash rapidly in red and the drive
will not switch on. Release the throttle lever on the transmitter and check the trim for the drive function on
the transmitter. If the trim setting is not sufficient, configure the neutral position on the speed controller, as
described in section 15.1.
Check that the drive and steering functions are working correctly.
Refer to section 15 for instructions on how to configure the speed controller.
Important!
When using LiPo drive batteries, be sure to check the default setting of the speed controller to see wheth-
er the undervoltage protection is activated (we recommend 3.2 V per cell). If undervoltage detection is
switched off, the LiPo rechargeable battery may be permanently damaged due to deep discharge.
When using NiMH drive batteries, switch off the undervoltage detection or set it to a lower value than for
LiPo rechargeable batteries, as described in section 15.2.
When in neutral, all speed controller LEDs are off. When moving forward and in reverse/braking, the red LED lights up
(not when using the disc brake). A green LED lights up as well when driving forward and at full throttle.
To switch off the speed controller, press the on/off switch (A) (see fig. 4) for approx. 1 second. The red LED on the
switch goes off.

14.6 Attaching and securing the body

Connect the two plugs of the body LEDs to the corresponding plug connections, ensuring the plugs are connected
correctly.
Then place the body on the brackets and fix them with the locking clips removed at the beginning.

14.7 Controlling the vehicle

Place the ready-to-ride vehicle on the ground. Do not reach into the motor or hold the vehicle by the wheels.

Operate the throttle lever for the drive function on the transmitter very carefully and do not drive too fast until you

get used to the responses of the vehicle. Do not move the transmitter controls quickly or jerkily.
If the vehicle shows a tendency to move to one side, adjust the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly.

When switching from forward to reverse throttle, the throttle lever must be placed in the neutral position for approx-

imately one second (neutral position = release the lever and leave it in place). Pulling the throttle lever directly from
forward to reverse at one stroke activates the brake function of the drive (the vehicle does not travel in reverse).
Pressing the "AUX1" button on the transmitter (see fig. 1, no. 6 or section 11.13) activates the vehicle disc brake

(it remains engaged for as long as the button is kept pressed). In addition to the regular motor brake, another
powerful brake is engaged to slow the vehicle down.
Attention!
Short braking actions with the disc brake are usually sufficient. Leaving the brake engaged for too long can
cause the vehicle to skid and become uncontrollable. The tyres will eventually lock up, which can damage
the tyre tread.
We recommend that you try the disc brake out on a suitable flat surface so that you can get the hang of it.
