14 Operation

14.1 Removing the body

Pull out the locking clips on the top of the vehicle and lift off the body. Disconnect the plug connections on the front
and rear lights and remember the orientation.
14.2 Configuring the transmitter
Switch on the transmitter.

Move the trim for the throttle and steering function (fig. 1, nos. 2+9) on the transmitter to about the middle position.

Move the "GYRO LV / ST-D/R" knob (fig. 1, no. 11) fully clockwise to the right. With the gyro switched on (default

setting upon vehicle delivery), its sensitivity will be the highest; with the gyro switched off, the steering angle will
be set to maximum. Please refer to section 12, if necessary.
When operating the vehicle for the first time, you can move the "TH-D/R" knob for the dual-rate drive function

(fig. 1, no. 10) to about the middle position. This reduces the maximum speed.

14.3 Inserting the two drive batteries into the vehicle

Attention!
Do not connect the drive batteries to the speed controller yet. First, turn on the transmitter (see sec-
tion 11).
Important!
This vehicle can be operated with two identical LiPo drive batteries with 2 cells each (nominal voltage
7.4 V) or 3 cells each (nominal voltage 11.1 V). Both rechargeable batteries must be fully charged.
Drive batteries with more cells may cause a risk of fire due to speed controller overheating, which may
result in the vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the
warranty/guarantee!
Using LiPo drive batteries with different charge levels may lead to deep discharge of one of them (the one
with a lower charge level) and thus permanently damage it. In addition, there is a risk of fire and explosion
due to deep discharge.
Ensure the rechargeable batteries have suitable connections (XT-90) for the speed controller and that the
polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) is correct (note the inscriptions on the sides of the XT-90 connections).
The vehicle has two battery holders to the left and right

of it for the two drive batteries.
Loosen the four hook-and-loop straps (A) of the two

battery holders and then the two long hook-and-loop
straps (B).
Insert the two drive batteries into the battery holder so

that they rest on the felt strips at its bottom.
Ensure the connection cables of the drive batteries are
not squeezed. The drive batteries must be fitted such
that the cables lead to the vehicle's rear, depending
on their design.
