8 Safety instructions

Damage caused due to failure to observe these operating instructions will void the warranty. We
shall not be liable for any consequential damage!
We shall not be liable for damage to property or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or
failure to observe the safety information! Such cases will void the warranty/guarantee.
Normal wear and tear (e.g. worn tyres, worn-out gear wheels) and accidental damage (e.g. broken sus-
pension arms and a damaged chassis) are excluded from the guarantee and warranty.
Dear customer, these safety instructions are provided to ensure the safe operation of the product, your safety and the
safety of others. Read this chapter very carefully before using the product!
8.1

General information

Caution, safety hazard!
This model has the potential to cause damage to property and/or individuals. Ensure that you are suf-
ficiently insured, e.g. by taking out private liability insurance. If you already have a policy, check with your
insurance company that use of this model is covered by the policy.
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and approval reasons.
This product is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, as it could become a dangerous plaything for children.
If you have any questions that are not answered by these operating instructions, contact us (see chapter 1 for
contact information) or an experienced technician.
You must learn how to operate and handle remote-controlled model vehicles before actually using them! If you
have never steered such a vehicle, operate it with special care and get used to the responses of the vehicle to the
remote control commands first. Be patient!
Do not take any risks when using the product! Always use the model responsibly; otherwise, you may endanger
yourself and your surroundings.
Occasional maintenance work and repairs are required to ensure safe use. For example, the tyres may become
worn, or some parts may be damaged due to driver error.
Only use original spare parts for maintenance and repair work!
8.2

Operation

Only use suitable drive batteries for the vehicle. Never power the speed controller with a power adapter, even for
test purposes.
This vehicle is only suitable for two identical LiPo drive batteries with 2 cells (nominal voltage 7.4 V) or 3 cells
(nominal voltage 11.1 V).
Drive batteries with more cells may cause a risk of fire due to speed controller overheating, which may result in the
vehicle drive (e.g. differential) being overloaded and eventually damaged. This will void the warranty/guarantee!
The two drive batteries must be identical (same number of cells, same rechargeable battery type, same capacity,
same discharge rate, same manufacturer, same type). Never use different drive rechargeable batteries together,
because there is a risk of fire! Both drive rechargeable batteries must also have the same state of charge. For
example, never connect a full and a half-full LiPo drive rechargeable battery to the speed controller in order to
prevent a deep discharge that will permanently damage the rechargeable battery.
When putting the device into operation, always switch on the transmitter first. Only then can the vehicle's drive
rechargeable batteries be connected to the speed controller and the latter be turned on.
