e) Connecting the drive battery to the speed controller

In order to prevent the wheels from inadvertent turning and thus an uncontrolled movement of the model
(e.g. if the drive trim is adjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable surface so that the wheels can turn
freely in the event of a fault.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Switch off the speed controller first (move the switch to
the "OFF" position). The on/off switch (A) is located on the
vehicle rear on one of the aluminium angles.
Then, if you have not already done so, start up the trans-
mitter (see section 9. c) and 9. d)).
Connect the drive battery to the speed controller. Ensure
that the battery is inserted with the correct polarity (red ca-
ble = positive/+, black cable = negative/-). Do not use force
when connecting the battery plug to the speed controller.
Important!
This vehicle is only suitable for use with a 6-cell NiMH drive battery (nominal voltage 7.2 V) or a 2-cell LiPo
drive battery (nominal voltage 7.4 V).
Undervoltage detection must be switched on (LiPo drive battery) or off (NiMH drive battery) depending on
the battery type. More details can be found in chapter 10. b).
The speed controller can be operated in both crawler mode and normal mode. More details about these
two modes (and how to select them) can be found in chapter 10. c).

f) Attaching and securing the body

Before putting on the body, see chapter 10. The speed controller must be programmed according to the
drive battery used and the desired mode. The control button on the speed controller is difficult to operate
when the body is mounted on the vehicle.
Each body mount (A) has a rubber ring (B). Use this ring
to adjust the body height so that it does not rub against
the wheels.
The more uneven the terrain on which the vehicle is oper-
ated, the greater the overlap between the two rigid axles
and the higher the body should be adjusted.
Place the body onto the fixtures and fix it in place with the
locking clips.
