g) Activating the speed controller
• Leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position (do not touch/move the lever). If you have
not already done so, set the trim for the speed controller function to the central position.
• Switch on the speed controller (see the arrow in the
picture on the right for the position of the on/off switch
on the vehicle).
• Wait for a few seconds until the motor emits double
beep (the beep is generated by a short activation of the
motor). The LED on the speed controller must not be
lit up (this indicates the neutral position of the throttle/
brake lever on the transmitter).
Now check the vehicle's drive and steering functions to
make sure that it reacts correctly to the steering com-
mands from the transmitter.
If the motor only emits one beep and the vehicle does not react to movement of the throttle on the transmit-
ter, the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is not in the neutral position or the trim for the speed controller
is badly misaligned.
For safety reasons, the drive function is deactivated in this case.
• The speed controller has an undervoltage detector. If the voltage drops below 6.2 V, it switches off the motor in
order to protect the connected drive battery against a deep discharge.
h) Attaching and fastening the car body
Now put the car body on the brackets and fasten it with the safety clips that were removed at the start.
i) Steering of vehicle
Operate the throttle/brake level for the drive function on the throttle very cautiously and do not drive too fast
at the start until you get used to the reactions of the vehicle. Do not make quick jerky movements on the
operating elements of the transmitter.
• When drivings forwards and reversing, the LED on the speed controller lights up. In the neutral position, the LED
goes out.
• If the vehicle shows a tendency to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accord-
ingly.
• When switching between forward and reverse driving, the throttle/brake lever must be briefly in the neutral position
on the transmitter (approx. 1 second) (neutral position = release lever, do not move it). When the throttle/brake
lever is pushed straight from forward to reverse without a pause, the drive's brake function is activated (vehicle will
not reverse).
• If the drive battery is empty, wait at least 5 - 10 minutes, until the motor and speed controller have cooled down
sufficiently. Then start driving again with a fully charged drive battery.
