CAUTION:
Do not attempt to force fluid into the pump reservoir if the
reservoir valve has been activated. Extreme pressure following
activation of the reservoir valve may result in pump damage
or procedural delays.
17. If you have activated the reservoir valve, complete steps "a" through "d"
below. Otherwise, proceed to Step 18.
a. Close the clamp on the extension tubing and remove the pressure
monitor, filter and syringe from the extension tubing.
b. Remove the pressure monitor and filter from the syringe and reattach the
syringe to the extension tubing.
c. Open the clamp on the extension tubing and aspirate until all fluid/air is
removed.
d. Repeat Steps 12-16 using a new Refill Kit and the correct amount of
prescribed fluid.
NOTE:
The amount of time before the valve will release is dependent
on the duration and the amount of pressure applied after the
valve is first activated. The more pressure exerted, the longer
it will take to release the valve.
18. When filling is completed, maintain slight, positive pressure on the syringe
and turn the stopcock to the Syringe Off position. Check the position of the
fluid meniscus in the pressure monitor (Figure 7). Use the top of the fluid
level, not the bubble.

NOTE:
If the meniscus is beyond the mark on the pressure monitor
(refer to illustration above), the pump reservoir has been
overfilled and must be emptied. Empty the pump completely
and repeat the refill procedure with new, sterile components.
