Information on the detection threshold
The achievable sensitivity for collision detection (SPP) depends on the overall
system.
A practical detection threshold cannot be determined until final application.
A detection threshold which is greater than 0 mA, must be defined for both
directions of travel.
Collision detection (SPP) is considerably less sensitive in the direction of force than
in the opposite direction (e.g. when lifting loads).
This performance is improved by using parameter 99
collision detection in the direction of force and increasing the detection sensitivity.
This is only practical for systems on which there is only a risk of collision in one
direction.
Alternatively, set a detection threshold of 0 mA for
every direction of travel using action step 3.
