4.3.3.1 IO interface module
The IO interface module (Figure 7) is used to activate the MultiControl II via discrete
digital inputs (e.g. of a PLC).
In the process, the IO interface module transmits the digital inputs to the
MultiControl II as commands and also transmits the feedback from the control
unit to the digital outputs.
In addition, the IO interface module transmits the serial RS485 interface of the
MultiControl II to the digital inputs and outputs in both directions.
