The collision detection cannot detect obstacles until after an acceleration phase
(the default setting is approximately 1 s).
After an obstacle has been detected, the movement stops and movement in the
last direction of travel is blocked.
The system first has to be freed up by moving it in the opposite direction. Movement
of the system is then enabled again.
