Instandhaltung
Entsprechend der Medical Device Directive (MDD)
enthält diese Gebrauchsanweisung Informationen
über Art, Umfang und Häu gkeit von Sicherheits-
technischen Kontrollen.
Bei der Durchführung von sicherheitstechnisch en
Kontrollen sind folgende Punkte zu prüfen:
• Sichtprüfung auf einwandfreien Zustand von
Gerät und Zubehör
• Schutzleiterprüfung, Isolationsprüfung und
Ableitstromprüfung
• Funktionsprüfung aller optischen und
akustischen Signale
• Prüfung der Überwachungseinrichtungen
• Prüfung der Funktionsmodi
• Prüfung des automatischen Startmodus
• Kontrolle der Aktivierung der HF-Leistung mit
dem Doppelpedal-Fußschalter
• Prüfung der HF-Leistung in den verschiedenen
Betriebsarten
• Messung der Stromaufnahme im Leerlauf und
unter Last

Instandsetzung
Die Instandsetzung von defekten Geräten darf nur
durch von KARL|STORZ autorisierte Personen und
unter Ver wendung von Originalteilen erfolgen.
Entsorgung
Dieses Gerät ist entsprechend der europäischen
Richtlinie 2002/96/EG über Elektro- und Elektronik-
Alt geräte (waste electrical and electronic equipment
– WEEE) gekennzeichnet.
Nach Ablauf der Le bensdauer ist das Gerät als
Elektronikschrott zu entsorgen.
Hierzu erfragen Sie bitte die für Sie zuständige
Sammelstelle bei KARL|STORZ GmbH & Co. KG,
einer KARL|STORZ Niederlassung oder Ihrem
Fachhändler. Im Geltungsbereich der Richtlinie ist
KARL|STORZ GmbH & Co. KG für die ordnungs-
gemäße Entsorgung des Gerätes verantwortlich.
In Nicht-EU-Staaten sind die lokalen Bestimmungen
zu beachten.
Maintenance
In accordance with the Medical Device Directive
(MDD) this instruction manual contains information
on the type, extent and frequency of safety checks.
When carrying out safety checks, the following
items must be tested:
• Visual inspection of the unit and accessories
for proper condition
• Checks of protective grounding and insulation,
and for leakage currents
• Testing for proper operation of all visual and
acoustic signals
• Testing of the monitoring devices
• Testing of the function modes
• Testing of the automatic start mode
• Checking the activation of the HF power using
the dual-pedal footswitch
• Testing the HF power in the various operating
modes
• Measurement of power consumption when
operating at no-load and under load

Servicing and repair
Defective items of equipment must be serviced and
repaired exclusively by persons authorized by
KARL STORZ; all repair work must employ original
parts only.
Disposal
This unit has been marked in accordance with the
European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical
and electronic equipment (WEEE).
At the end of its useful operating life, dispose of the
unit as electronic scrap.
Please ask either KARL|STORZ GmbH & Co. KG,
a KARL|STORZ subsidiary or your specialist dealer
for information on your local collection point.
Within the scope of application of this Directive,
KARL|STORZ GmbH & Co. KG is responsible for
the proper disposal of this unit.
The local regulations must be observed in non-EU
states.
