WARNUNG: Unbeabsichtigte
Aktivierung des Instrumentes
Verbrennungsgefahr für Patient und
medizinisches Personal!
❏ Legen Sie Instrumente an einen sicheren
Ort ab: steril, trocken, nicht leitend, gut
einsehbar. Abgelegte Instrumente dürfen
mit dem Patienten, dem medizinischen
Personal und brennbaren Materialien nicht
in Berührung kommen.
❏ Abgelegte Instrumente dürfen den Patien-
ten auch nicht indirekt berühren. Indirekt
berühren kann ein Instrument den Patienten
z. B. über elektrisch leitfähige Gegenstände
oder nasse Tücher.

WARNUNG: Heiße Instrumente
Auch nichtaktive, aber heiße Instrumente
können den Patienten oder das medizini-
sche Personal verbrennen.
❏ Legen Sie Instrumente an einen sicheren
Ort ab: steril, trocken, nicht leitend, gut
einsehbar. Abgelegte Instrumente dürfen
mit dem Patienten, dem medizinischen
Personal und brennbaren Materialien nicht

❏ Abgelegte Instrumente dürfen den Patien-
ten auch nicht indirekt berühren. Indirekt
berühren kann ein Instrument den Patienten
z. B. über elektrisch leitfähige Gegenstände
oder nasse Tücher.

WARNUNG: Unbeabsichtigte
Aktivierung des Instrumentes bei
endoskopischer Anwendung
Wenn das Instrument bei einer endo-
skopischen Anwendung aktiviert wird
und aktiviert bleibt, drohen dem Pati-
enten beim Entfernen des Instrumentes
Verbrennungen.
Gefährdet sind alle Stellen, die mit dem
aktiven Teil des Instrumentes in Berührung
kommen. Ursache für eine unbeabsichtigte
Aktivierung kann z. B. ein Fehler im Fuß-
schalter oder Gerät sein.
Sie erkennen eine unbeabsichtigte Akti-
vierung am dauernden Aktivierungssignal
des Gerätes, obwohl Sie den Fußschalter
losgelassen haben.

WARNING: Unintentional activation of
the instrument
Risk of burns for the patient and medical
personnel!
❏ Place the instruments in a safe place;
sterile, dry, non-conductive, clearly visible.
The placed instruments must not come
into contact with the patient, the medical
personnel, or ammable materials.
❏ Instruments which have been set down
should also not be in indirect contact
with the patient. The instrument can be in
indirect contact with the patient via electri-
cally conductive objects or wet drapes, for
example.

WARNING: Hot instruments
Non-activated, but still hot instruments
can also burn the patient or medical
personnel.
❏ Set the instruments down in a safe place;
sterile, dry, non-conductive, clearly visible.
Instruments which have been set down
must not come into contact with the pa-
tient, the medical personnel, or ammable
materials.
❏ When set down, instruments should also
not be in indirect contact with the patient.
The instrument can be in indirect contact
with the patient via electrically conductive
objects or wet drapes, for example.

WARNING: Unintentional activation of
the instrument in endoscopic applica-
tions
If the instrument is activated during an
endoscopic application and remains
activated, there is a risk of burns for the
patient when the instrument is removed.
All areas are at risk which come into
contact with the activated part of the
instrument. The cause of an unintentional
activation can be a footswitch error or unit
error, for example.
Unintentional activation can be identi ed by
the sounding of the unit's constant activa-
tion signal although the footswitch has
already been released.
