Warn- und Vorsichtshinweise
der Neutralelektrode und der Haut nicht
überwacht. Bei unzureichendem Kon-
takt zwischen Neutralelektrode und Haut
erzeugt das Gerät kein optisches und kein
akustisches Warnsignal.
Verbrennungsgefahr für den Patienten
unter der Neutralelektrode!
❏ Überprüfen Sie in den Begleitpapieren
des Herstellers der Neutralelektrode, ob
die Neutralelektrode für das eingesetzte
HF-Gerät geeignet ist.
❏ Verwenden Sie nur geeignete
Neutralelektroden.
❏ Bei Applikation einer ein ächigen Neutral-
elektrode: Überprüfen Sie die Neutralelektro-
de regelmäßig auf guten Kontakt zur Haut.
❏ Überprüfen Sie in den Begleitpapieren des
Herstellers des Neutralelektroden-Kabels,
ob das Neutralelektroden-Kabel für die
eingesetzte Neutralelektrode geeignet ist.
❏ Verwenden Sie nur geeignete Neutral-
elektroden-Kabel.

WARNUNG: Positionierung der
Neutralelektrode über dem Herzen
Gefahr von Herzkammerflimmern und
Herzstillstand für den Patienten!
❏ Positionieren Sie die Neutralelektrode nicht
über dem Herzen oder im Bereich des
Herzens.

WARNUNG: Falsche Applikation der
Neutralelektrode
Verbrennungsgefahr für den Patienten!
❏ Applizieren Sie die Neutralelektrode mit
ihrer gesamten Kontakt äche an einer gut
durchbluteten, muskulösen Stelle.
❏ Applizieren Sie die Neutralelektrode so
nahe wie möglich am Operationsfeld.
❏ Schieben Sie die Kontaktlasche der Neu-
tralelektrode vollständig in die Anschluss-
klammer. Die Kontaktlasche darf die Haut
des Patienten nicht berühren.
❏ Richten Sie die Symmetrielinie der Neutral-
elektrode in Richtung Operationsfeld aus.
Der Strom soll von der aktiven Elektrode
(Instrument), auf die Symmetrielinie der
Neutralelektrode zu ießen (siehe Abb.).

Warnings and cautions
The unit does not produce an optical or
acoustic warning signal when there is
insuf cient contact between the neutral
electrode and the skin.
This exposes the patient to a risk of burns
in the area beneath the neutral electrode!
❏ Use the documentation supplied by the
neutral electrode's manufacturer to estab-
lish whether the neutral electrode is suitable
for the HF unit in use.
❏ Only suitable neutral electrodes should be
used.
❏ When using a single-faced neutral electrode:
Check regularly that the neutral electrode is
in good contact with the skin.
❏ Use the documentation supplied by the
neutral electrode cable's manufacturer to
establish whether the neutral electrode
cable is suitable for the neutral electrode
in use.
❏ Only suitable neutral electrode cables
should be used.

WARNING: Positioning of the neutral
electrode above the heart
Risk of ventricular fibrillation and car-
diac arrest for the patient!
❏ Do not position the neutral electrode above
the heart or in the vicinity of the heart.

WARNING: Incorrect application of the
neutral electrode
Risk of burns to the patient!
❏ Apply the neutral electrode with its entire
contact surface on a muscular site with a
good blood supply.
❏ Apply the neutral electrode as close to the
operating site as possible.
❏ Insert the contact tab on the neutral elec-
trode completely into the connection clip.
Do not allow the contact tab to touch the
patient's skin.
❏ Align the neutral electrode's symmetrical
line in the direction of the operating eld.
The current should ow from the active
electrode (instrument) along the symmetri-
cal line on the neutral electrode (see Fig.)
