Warn- und Vorsichtshinweise
❏ Überprüfen Sie die Neutralelektrode regel-
mäßig auf guten Kontakt zur Haut des
Patienten.
❏ Überprüfen Sie die Neutralelektrode insbe-
sondere, wenn der Patient umgelagert wurde
und nach Operationsschritten, bei denen das
Gerät häu g und lange aktiviert wurde.

WARNUNG: Kurzschluss im Anschluss-
kabel oder in der Klammer einer zwei-
flächigen Neutralelektrode
Bei der Setup Einstellung »Neutral elektrode:
beliebig« kann das Gerät bei einem
Kurzschluss den Kontakt zur Haut des
Patienten und die Applikationsrichtung der
Kontakt äche nicht mehr überwachen. Sie
erhalten keine Warnmeldung, wenn sich die
Elektrode von der Haut löst. Sie erhalten
keine Warnmeldung, wenn die Applikations-
richtung der Kontakt äche falsch ist.
Verbrennungsgefahr für den Patienten!
❏ Um einen Kurzschluss im Anschlusska-
bel und in der Klammer vor Einsatz des
Gerätes auszuschließen, können Sie das
Anschlusskabel testen. (Siehe Abschnitt
»Sicherheitseinrichtungen«, S. 41.)

HINWEIS: KARL|STORZ emp ehlt die
Verwendung einer zwei ächigen Neutralelek-
trode mit der Einstellung »Neutralelektrode
dynamisch« oder »Neutralelektrode
zwei ächig". Bei dieser Kombination von
Neutralelektrode und Einstellung des
Gerätes wird die größte Sicherheit bei der
Überwachung der Neutralelektrode erreicht
(siehe Abschnitt »Sicherheitseinrichtungen«,
S. 40). Sollte ein Kurzschluss im Anschlusskabel
vorliegen, wird bei Aktivierung eines unipolaren
Modus ein Warnton sowie die Meldung
»NESSY Kontakt« erzeugt.

WARNING: Short circuit in connec-
tion cable or in the clip of a two-faced
neutral electrode
In the 'Neutral electrode: either way' set-up
setting, the unit can no longer monitor
the contact to the patient's skin or the
application direction of the contact surface
if there is a short circuit. You are not given
a warning if the electrode detaches from
the skin. You are not given a warning if the
application direction of the contact surface
is incorrect!
Risk of burns for patients!
❏ You can test the connection cable to rule
out a short circuit in the connection cable
and in the clip prior to using the unit.
(See Section 'Safety Devices', p. 41.)

NOTE: KARL|STORZ recommends the use of
a two-faced neutral electrode with the 'Neutral
electrode dynamic' or 'Neutral electrode
two-faced' setting. This combination of neutral
electrode and unit setting offers the greatest
safety when monitoring the neutral electrode
(see Section 'Safety Devices', p. 40). If there
is a short circuit in the connection cable, a
warning tone will be emitted when the unipolar
mode is activated and the message 'NESSY
contact' will appear.
