BASE ANGLE SENSOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT - (BASE)

Tools Required:
• Stubby Phillips Screwdriver
• ESD System
Procedure:
1 . Plug the bed into a wall outlet .
2 . Set the brakes using one of the brake control locations or by using the manual brake pedal .
3 . Raise the bed to the full up position and raise the patient right siderails (foot end and head end) .
4 . Remove the head end, enter, foot end, and right base cover .
5 . Using a stubby Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the base angle sensor to the base frame (refer-
ence Figure above) .
6 . Using an ESD system, properly ground yourself .
7 . Unclip the three clips holding the board cover on .
8 . Unplug the cable from the board .
9 . Reverse the steps to install new base angle sensor .
Note: Do not over-tighten the two screws.
10 . Recalibrate the bed (refer to Bed Calibration procedures on
