Hydraulic hose lines

Hydraulic hose lines are needed for various function
tests, when troubleshooting, and when purging the
AdBlue supply module.
The proper connection is ensured by the hose lines from
hose set 0 986 610 849 and hose line 0 986 610 457
(see the examples in fig. 15).

All of the hose lines must be handled carefully and
checked before use. Replace hoses if inspection
reveals the following damage: Cracks, brittleness,
abrasion, kinks, or sluggish or damaged quick-
release couplings.

Defective hose lines must be completely replaced
to prevent damage and injury.

3.21 Clamp 1 681 091 181
The clamp (fig. 16, item 2) is used when repairing the
AdBlue supply module. It serves to fix the connecting
rod of the AdBlue supply pump (fig. 16, item 1) when
installed in TDC position* and hence prevent an incor-
rect position and damage to the pump membrane.
* TDC = top dead center

If the clamp is damaged, it may not be used and
must be entirely replaced.
