4.11.2 Configuration of EtherNet/IP variants

The IP address of the EtherNet/IP module is set on the PLC and not on the
weighing terminal. The IP address can also be changed via the BOOTP /DHCP
server. The Hilscher tool cannot be used to change the IP address of the
EtherNet/IP.
In the EtherNet/IP variant, the WTX120 works as an Ethernet/IP adapter, form­
ing an I/O interface with up to 64 input words and 64 output words. This device
variant is suitable for transfer speeds up to 100 MBit/s. The byte sequence
must be selected in the service menu under Config\Fieldbus\ETHERNET IP,
Endian: Big or Little.
The significance of the individual data words depends on the application, and
can be found in the relevant operating manual.
To set the WTX120 parameters in the EtherNet/IP variants, an EDS file is re­
quired which you can download from www.hbm.com/de/6304/wtx120-indus­

Information
When using PROFIBUS, the input/output data word length can be adjusted
flexibly up to 64 data words in the PLC or via third-party gateways. Any
remaining data words are not transmitted.
