10.2 Multi-interval weighing machine

The single-range balance can be set as a multi-interval weighing machine with
two or three different weighing ranges, or scale intervals.
Example of a three-interval scale with:
Lowest weighing range: 0 to 1500kg / 0.5 kg
Middle weighing range: 1500 to 3000kg / 1.0 kg
Highest weighing range: 3000Kg to 6000kg / 2.0 kg
The weighing range, or scale interval, is automatically switched dependent on
the applied load both when loading and when removing the load.

After tare balancing, the net weight of the scale is displayed with the scale
interval of the lowest weighing range, so that light weights are weighed with the
greatest possible accuracy even when there is already a load on the scale. The
maximum tare input value is the maximum load of the lowest weighing range.
When configuring the multi-interval weighing machine, the maximum load and
interval can be freely selected for each range; only the number of decimal
places has to be the same for all ranges. If 0.5kg and 1kg scale intervals are
used, for example, 0.5 and 1.0 must be entered as the intervals. Additionally,
the maximum resolution of the load cells being used (e.g. 3000d) must not be
exceeded in any of the set ranges.
