9.
In order to check the protrusion, there are the two
following options:
- Place the setting gauge (20) on the cutter shaft (2).
The planer blade (2.3) must protrude enough so
that it touches the setting gauge (20). This check
must be carried out on both planer blades (2.3)
and on both sides of the cutter shaft (2). (Fig. 26)
- Place an aluminium ruler over the pick-up table
(1) and cutter shaft (2). Turn the cutter shaft (2)
one turn by hand. The aluminium ruler may only
move 4 to 6 mm. This check must be carried out
on both planer blades (2.3). (Fig. 27)
10. If necessary, readjust the protrusion in the pres-
sure bar with the grub screws (2.4).
11. Fully unscrew the four hexagonal bolts (2.1) on
the pressure bar (2.2). In order to prevent tension,
start with the centre hexagonal bolts (2.1) and
gradually work your way outwards.
12. Finally, lower the cutter shaft cover (14) again on
the table and cover the cutter shaft (2).
13. Secure the position of the cutter shaft cover (14)
with the height adjustment screw (14.4).
