For single-phase AC motors, we recommend a fuse
rating of C 16A or K 16A for machines with a high start-
ing current (from 3000 watts)!
12. Transport (Fig. 1)
If you would like to transport the product to anoth-
er location, first disconnect it from the mains. Lift the
product by the transport handles (8) until it stands on
the transport wheels (10) and place it at another des-
ignated area.
13. Cleaning
Danger!
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any
cleaning work.
• Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth or blow it off with
compressed air at low pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the product directly
after every use.
• Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp
cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the product. Make sure that no water can
penetrate the interior of the product. Water penetrat-
ing an electric device increases the risk of an electric
shock.
• Apply a thin layer of sliding wax to the pick-up table,
discharge table and thicknesser table.
14. Storage
Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry and
frost-free place that is inaccessible to children. The opti-
mum storage temperature is between 5 and 30 ˚C. Keep
the product in its original packaging. Cover the product
to protect it from dust or moisture. Store the operating
manual with the product.
15. Maintenance
m WARNING! Disconnect the mains plug from the
main power supply before any cleaning, adjustment,
maintenance or repair work!
• The threaded spindle for the height adjustment of the
thicknesser table may only be treated with a dry lubricant.

• The tabletop and the infeed and outfeed rollers must
always be kept free of resin.
• Dirty infeed/outfeed rollers must be cleaned.
• Check the vent openings on the motor at regular in-
tervals for dust accumulation in order to avoid the
motor overheating.
• After prolonged use, it is recommended to have the
machine checked by an authorised service centre.
15.1 Tool care
The planing shaft, clamping devices, blade supports
and blades must be regularly cleaned of resin, because
a clean tool improves the cutting quality.
To do so, the clamping devices, blade supports and
blades can be placed in a commercial resin remover for
24 hours. Aluminium tools may only be made resin-free
with cleaning liquids that do not attack this type of metal.
15.2 Changing the cutter (Fig. 23 - 27)
m ATTENTION! Pull out the mains plug as a matter of
principle, before changing the blade.
Attention! The planer blades supplied are ground on
both sides and cannot be resharpened! Do not use
blunt planer blades. If both sides are worn, the plan-
er blades must be replaced!
m ATTENTION! Wear protective gloves when chang-
ing the planer blade!
1.
Take off the parallel stop (3).
2.
Set the cutter shaft cover (14) all the way up and
outwards.
3.
Fully screw in the four hexagonal bolts to the plan-
ing shaft (2.1).
4.
Remove the pressure bar (2.2) from the cutter
shaft (2).
5.
Remove chips and resin from the cutter shaft (2)
and pressure bar (2.2).
6.
Place the new planer blade (2.3) on the pressure
bar (2.2). The two pins of the pressure bar (2.2)
must match the holes of the planer blade (2.3).
7.
Place the pressure bar (2.2) with the planer blade
(2.3) in the cutter shaft (2). Ensure that the planer
blade (2.3) does not slip from the two pins.
8.
Pull out the four hexagonal bolts (2.1) on the pres-
sure bar (2.2) until the planer blade (2.3) with
pressure bar (2.2) can be moved crosswise to the
cutter shaft axle.
