Before every job, you also have to check the strainer
basket and empty it if required.

6.8.1 Cooling lubricant

When processing titanium blanks:
To reach higher tool life values, you can add the cool-
ing lubricant Tec Liquid Pro to the cooling liquid.
The mixing ratio is indicated on the bottle label.
Determine the pH value of the cooling liquid.

6.8.2 Determining the pH value of the cool-
ing liquid w ith test strips
If you added cooling lubricant to the cooling liquid,
you need to check the pH value of the cooling liquid to
determine whether you need to exchange it.
Determine the pH value of the cooling liquid directly
after adding the cooling lubricant and when you
didn't use the machine for 2 days.
To determine the pH value of the cooling liquid with
test strips, do the following:
Test strips are available from customer service.
a. Hold one test strip into the cooling liquid for a
few seconds.
b. Compare the colors on the test strip with the
indications on the container of the pH test strips.
The colors on the test strip match the pH value 9
on the container.

If the pH value is below 9 or if the change interval in
the maintenance table has been exceeded,

exchange the cooling liquid.

6.8.3 Emptying the strainer basket

You can empty the strainer basket into a collecting
container as follows:
1. Lift the cover off the tank.
2. Remove the strainer basket by pushing it out of the
cover from below.
3. Tap out the strainer basket into the collecting con-
tainer. You can use water or compressed air to fur-
ther clean the strainer basket.
The strainer basket is completely void of machining
residues.
6.8.4 Exchanging or filling in the cooling
liquid
You can fill in or exchange the cooling liquid as
follows:
1. To exchange the liquid and clean the cooling liquid
tank, have the following items readily available:
Collecting container that can hold approx.
n
10 l
Cleaning brush
n
Water for cleaning the cooling liquid tank
n
2. Ensure that sufficient cooling liquid is available.
3. Close the working chamber door.
4. Open the multi-purpose drawer.
5. Grab the cooling liquid tank at the positions
marked in the following figure. Pull it out of the
drawer in the direction indicated by the arrow
( ).

When you tilt the cooling liquid tank, the
cover will not prevent the cooling liquid
from leaking.
