8.2.3
Changing the high-pressure hose assembly
Replace the high-pressure hose assembly after 2 years
from the date of manufacture at the latest, even if
no safety-relevant defects are evident. The date of
manufacture is imprinted on the hose fixture of the
high-pressure hose assembly.

Checking hose assemblies
Always handle hose assemblies (high-pressure and
low-pressure hoses) with care and check before use.
Hose assemblies are to be replaced if checking reveals
the following signs of damage:
R
Cracks, brittle areas, abrasion or blistering at the
hose jacket
R
Kinked hose assemblies
R
Stiff union nuts or quick-release couplings
R
Deformed or damaged hose connection end (seal-
ing cone, plug-in nipple, etc.)

8.2.5
Cleaning injection chamber
1. Remove the height adjusting clamping bolt
(Fig. 5, item 3) by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the injection chamber with the injection
chamber lighting (Fig. 5, item 4, 5) from the injec-
tion chamber holder (Fig. 3, item 7).
3. Remove the O-ring from the injector nozzle seat
(Fig. 4, item 2) with the removal tool.
4. Drain the injection chamber and rinse with clean
test oil. Dispose of dirty test oil properly.
!
If it is poured in too quickly, the test oil may run out
from the injection chamber.
!
Only fill test oil in accordance with ISO 4113 into
the injection chamber. Never use diesel fuel.
5. Pour fresh test oil (ISO 4113) through the funnel
very slowly and carefully into the chamber (Fig. 25).
Fill until the chamber is full to the top.
6. Add the O-ring to the injector nozzle seat
(Fig. 4, item 2).
7. Install the injection chamber with the injection
chamber lighting on the injection chamber holder
(Fig. 3, item 7).
8. Before installing it again on the injector clamp, top
up the injection chamber with test oil (see sec. 6.5).
!
To assure correct operation, the injection chamber
must always be full of test oil.
i
After filling the injection chamber, a complete
CRI/CRIN or piezo CRI test must be performed. The
remaining air in the injection chamber is thereby
removed.
8.2.6
Check the O-ring on the injection nozzle seat
Always handle O-rings with care and check before use.
O-rings are to be replaced if checking reveals the fol-
lowing signs of damage:
R
Cracks, brittle areas, abrasion or blistering
R
Deformed, squashed or frayed
R
Leakage at fitting
1. Remove the O-ring from the injector nozzle seat
(Fig. 4, item 2) with the removal tool (Fig. 4, item 1).
2. Check the O-ring (Fig. 4, item 2) and replace if dam-
