11. Mise en service et maintenance

a) Montage de la carroserie
• Selon la carrosserie utilisée, la hauteur des
boulons d'entretoise peut être réajustée par
déplacement dans la fixation de la carrosserie.
Fixez les vis à nouveau.
• Placez la carrosserie (ou déflecteur arrière) sur
les boulons d'entretoise.
• Placez les rondelles sur les boulons
d'entretoise.
• Fixez la carrosserie avec une attelle pour
chaque boulon d'entretoise.
Retirez la carrosserie pour effectuer
les travaux suivants.
b) Mesures avant la mise en service
Garantissez la pleine puissance et le bon fonctionnement à long terme du modèle réduit, en adoptant
les mesures suivantes:
• Tenez compte des prescriptions relatives au rodage du moteur.
• Vérifiez le vissage de toutes les vis et de tous les écrous.
• Vérifiez l'orientation et le jeu des engrenages de l'entraînement.
• Lubréfiez toutes les pièces mobiles et tournant sur palier au moyen d'une huile fluide pour machine
(graisseur atomiseur).
• Les pièces orientables doivent pouvoir être bougées facilement mais ne doivent toutefois pas
présenter de jeu dans les articulations.

c) Preparations before starting the engine

The readily mounted engine was made on precisioin machines in accordance with the lastet technol-
ogy. This is why the manufacturing tolerances are very low.
This is why when the new engine is used a certain running-in time has to be observed just
like with big car engines (otherwise the engine will not give its maximum power, it will
furthermore get damaged, loss of guarantee/warrentee).
• The carburettor is already roughly preadjusted.
Fine tuning of idle motion and full throttle can only be carried out with a well run in engine.
• Before using the engine blow it out with compressed air.
This way you make sure that the combustion chamber is free of dirt which could get into
the engine via the spark plug seat.
• Insert a glow pulg with a calorific value of 1 or 3.
• The air filter is to be lubricated lightly with a suitable oil (air filter oil) in order to filter out even the
smallest dust particles.
• Put on air filter but don't attach it permanently (with the cable binder!) yet.
• Lay the fuel tube in a way so that it doesn't get damaged by the main pinion or the pinion on the
clutch bell.
• Additionally secure the fuel tubes on the connector nipples with cable binders.
The oil contained in the fuel can cause the tube ends to slip off otherwise.
• Mount a fuel filter between tank and carburettor to filter out particulate material from the fuel. They
could block the carburettor.
