6. Traumatic arthrosis of the ipsilateral knee secondary to intraoperative positioning, of the extremity
during surgery.
7. Subluxation or dislocation.
The incidence and severity of complications in hip replacement are usually greater in revisions than
in primary operations. Common problems encountered in revision surgery may include difficulty in
placement of the incision, removal of ectopic bone and old bone cement, positioning and fixation
of components, and/or obtaining adequate bony support. In general, increased operative time,
blood loss, and risk of infection, pulmonary embolus and wound hematoma can be expected with
revision procedures.
HOW SUPPLIED
The components are individually packaged and supplied STERILE. All metal components are sterilized
using radiation as indicated on the outer package label. Remove from the package using accepted
aseptic technique only after the correct size has been determined.
DO NOT RESTERILIZE and DO NOT USE IF THE PACKAGING IS DAMAGED OR BROKEN AND
STERILITY MAY BE COMPROMISED.
CAUTION: HA coated stems CANNOT be re-sterilized. Do not use these components if the sterile
packaging appears damaged.
Components may not be re-sterilized by the hospital because of the possibility of damaging the
articulating and interfacing surfaces of the implant. The package should be opened only after the
correct size has been determined, as opened packages may not be returned for credit.
ANY USED OR SOILED COMPONENT HAS TO BE ISOLATED FROM THE ENVIRONMENT.
WASTE PROCESSING SHOULD FOLLOW LOCAL PROCEDURE. PREVENTION OF ANY RISK OF
CONTAMINATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MEDICAL STAFF.

CORAIL AMT à revêtement HA (HYDROXYAPATITE) DESCRIPTION DU DISPOSITIF
Les tiges Corail AMT à revêtement HA sont composées en alliage de titane.
PROTHÈSE TOTALE DE HANCHE
Une prothèse totale de hanche implique l'utilisation d'une tige fémorale emballée individuellement,
d'une tête fémorale modulaire métallique ou céramique et d'un composant cotyloïdien monobloc ou
en deux parties à renforcement métallique. Les composants cotyloïdiens en deux parties comportent
une enveloppe métallique assemblée avec un insert en polyéthylène à poids moléculaire ultra élevé
(PePMUE), céramique* ou métallique**. La tête fémorale et les composants cotyloïdiens sont conçus
pour remplacer la surface articulaire naturelle de l'articulation de la hanche.
PROTHÈSE PARTIELLE DE HANCHE
Les interventions d'arthroplastie partielle de la hanche ou les hémiarthroplasties de la hanche au
moyen d'une prothèse partielle de hanche impliquent :
• l'utilisation d'une tige fémorale emballée individuellement et d'une tête fémorale métallique
unipolaire modulaire
• ou l'utilisation d'une tige fémorale emballée individuellement et d'un ensemble à tête bipolaire
modulaire.
