English
With the team function, each robotic mower is
assigned its own docking station (team 1,
team 2, team 3) with guide wire (2).
The perimeter wire (1) and all guide wires (2) are
connected to the master docking station (3). The
wires transmit the signals of the master docking
station to the robotic mowers. The robotic mow‐
ers are guided along the guide wires (2) onto the
mowing areas and back to the docking station.
Positioning docking stations
Depending on the requirements, the docking sta‐
tions can be positioned on or outside of the mow‐
ing areas.

If the docking stations are positioned outside the
mowing area, the section (4) can be included in
the area to be mowed or separated from it.
In order to separate the section (4), a wire
loop (5) must installed with the perimeter wire.
The section (4) in front of the docking station is
not mowed. Zones cannot be defined in the team
function.
Operation
The robotic mowers are operated by the

app, the STIHL connected Portal
and the buttons in the control panels on the
robotic mowers. Light strips on the robotic mow‐
ers as well as an artificially generated voice out‐
put provide information about the current status
of the robotic mowers.
The most important settings for the team function
are:
– Establishing the same cutting height for all
robotic mowers

5 Using the robotic mower in a team
– Creating a mowing plan and establishing a
time zone
– Setting the rain sensor
– Defining the starting distance
Starting distance
The robotic mowers start the mowing job from a
certain point (6). The starting distance (a) must
be defined for each robotic mower on the corre‐
sponding guide wire.
If the docking stations are defined outside of the
mowing area, the point (6) must be defined
within the mowing area.
Range of the starting distance (a) from the dock‐
ing station: 2 m to 80 m.
The starting distance is defined via the

Preparing the Mowing Area
and Robot Mower for Operation
5.2.1
Planning and preparing mowing areas
The mowing area must be planned and prepared
prior to commissioning the robotic mowers. This
enables a robust installation and smooth opera‐
tion and eliminates potential sources of interfer‐
ence.
