4.7 Self Test

The admin user can run a self test as desired and set up a schedule for automatic
self test. The schedule can be chosen among the options: none, daily, weekly or
monthly. After the number of days has elapsed since the last self test was run, the
self test runs again.
A scheduled self test does not interrupt testing.
(See Section 6 for more information).

4.8 Import Test Types

The instrument is supplied by the manufacturer with a default set of test types
loaded onto it. If new test types are available from the manufacturer, the admin
user can import test types onto the instrument. The appropriate file type needs to be loaded from a USB key.
The USB key must be connected to the instrument before attempting the import.
If the test types file was successfully imported the instrument displays a confirming "Info" message to the user.
The instrument will reboot.
Information about the test types package is viewable on the instrument's "About" screen (see Section 3.5 for
more information).
Importing a new test types package will replace the test types package previously loaded into the
device.
The Workspace test types package must be in the USB flash memory key root directory folder for
the Actim 1ngeni instrument to find the test types package file.

4.9 Language

The "Language" settings screen allows an admin user to change the language of
the instrument. All text strings on the instrument will be displayed in the language
selected. Text strings that are input in the test types package are independent of
language settings.
The default language setting is UK English.
