SOFTWARE UPDATE

Caution: Stored test data may be at risk of being
deleted during the software update process! It is
highly recommended that the test result stored
on the Actim 1ngeni instrument is archived to an
external formatted, USB Key prior to performing
a software update
Software update:
1. Export all of the results data from the Actim 1ngeni instrument.
2. Place the update file in the main directory of a clean USB key.
3. Insert the USB key containing the update into the instrument USB port.
4. Power off the instrument.
5. Power on the instrument and follow the on-screen update instruction. Touch to start.
6. When update is complete, remove the USB key. Touch to continue is displayed.
7. The instrument will reboot after the update is completed.
8. Observe the version number displayed during start up to confirm that the software update was applied.
Check also the about screen on the instrument to confirm update version number.
The first time a self test is run following a software update, a fault or warning result may be given.
Please make special note of the information given on the self test screen as to what other functions
may need to be conducted following the software update. Please run the self test for a second time
from the admin menu.
Caution: DO NOT REMOVE THE USB KEY
DURING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. The USB
Flash memory instrument can be removed from
the instrument once the software update is
complete.
