CLEANING, MAINTENANCE
AND SERVICE
WARNING: The isopropyl alcohol used in this
procedure is flammable.
Ensure that the instrument is not powered.
Do not use isopropyl alcohol within 3m of an
open flame or source of ignition.
Avoid skin contact.
All biological specimens and materials must be treated as potentially hazardous, and disposed of in accordance
with local authority guidelines.
Suggested materials:
Gloves: Disposable laboratory gloves
Wipes: Lint free wipes
Swabs: Foam tipped swab
Isopropyl Alcohol: 99% isopropyl alcohol in a spray dispenser
Hand wash: Disinfectant hand wash
The Actim 1ngeni instrument can be cleaned using a lint free wipe, damp with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Do not use
free liquids to clean the instrument.
Dip the lint free wipe into the isopropyl alcohol and allow any excess fluid to flow off. If any lint or dust remains
on the wipe, dispose of the wipe and use a new one.
Inspect: Inspect for damage or visible contamination.
Dispose: Dispose of any materials left on the instrument such as test parts.
Wipe surfaces: Wipe all surfaces of the instrument with wipes moist with isopropyl alcohol.
Dispose: Dispose of all used materials and gloves.
Wash hands: Wash hands with the disinfectant hand wash.
Service
Actim 1ngeni is free from regular maintenance. In case of instrument malfunction or repair requirement, please
contact your local supplier. Delete all patient results from the instrument before shipping it to service.
Disposal
Actim 1ngeni instrument is a low-voltage electronic device. A used Actim 1ngeni instrument must be handled as
potentially biohazardous waste. The instrument should be disposed of as Used Medical Equipment according to
national and local law. Delete all patient data before disposing of the instrument. The packaging materials are
recyclable.
