SETTINGS
The "Settings" screen is accessed from the home menu and allows a user
to configure the Actim 1ngeni instrument. The different settings can be viewed
using the arrow icons.

3.1 Audio

The volume can be adjusted from 0 (no sound) to 5 (highest volume) at the audio
screen. The default volume is 3. It is possible to listen to the chosen sound by
pressing the word "Test".
The instrument uses sound for the following functions:
• Touch tone: A screen "click" whenever the touch screen is used
• Tones: Process tones for end of test, alerts and warnings

3.2 Network

The "Network Setup" screen allows a user to configure the Ethernet connection
of the instrument.
Supported functions include:
Selecting between DHCP and Static Network
Entering IP address
Entering Subnet Mask
The default is DHCP. Switching to Static IP, IP Address and a Subnet Mask must be entered manually.
DHCP (Router): The Actim 1ngeni instrument supports the use of a typical network with DHCP enabled. Plug
the instrument into a network port on the router, then power the instrument on.
Using Static: IP Addressing is a method of setting up a network where the IP address is assigned manually.
The benefits of a static address is IP addresses can be assigned carefully so that each instrument has its own
address—with no overlap and the IP address is fixed. This does mean however that when you connect an Actim
1ngeni instrument to a new network, you would have to select the "manual" configuration option and enter in.

3.3 Printer setup

The following printer settings can be modified:
• Select Auto Print.
