GETTING STARTED

This section assists the user and the admin user in the initial setup of the instrument.

2.1 Initial Admin user setup

At initial setup, configuration of the instrument, done
by the administrator, is needed. Figure 5 shows the
required steps.
Unpack the Actim 1ngeni instrument and set it up
on a stable, level bench, in a clean office or lab type
environment.
Configure the power supply for your region and connect
the 12V power supply to the power connection of the
instrument.
After the instrument is turned on, it performs
automatically a self test that lasts for some minutes (see
Section 6.1 for more information).
After the self test, log in as admin user:
Admin ID: "admin"
Admin password: "admin"
Change the admin password after the first log in
(see section 4.11 for more information).
Select admin icon to enter the admin settings of the instrument menu.
By using the arrow icons, scroll through the list and perform the following
actions:
• Select the correct language
• Reset admin password
• Set correct time and date (Take into consideration the daylight saving times at your location).
After these basic settings define/create:
Test mode: patient test/read only (see Sections 5 and 4.3).
User list: add new users manually or by using a USB stick and define whether user ID check is on or
off (see Section 4.4).
Quality test settings: define the schedule and outcome of instrument check and control test (see Section 6).
Software update and importing test types are required in case of updating the instrument (see Section 10).
