26 Quality control
Enter a unique control ID using the onscreen keyboard or a barcode reader to input
the text field. Press the OK icon to save the text input (1-20 characters).
The instrument displays the test number and control ID and asks the user to insert
the test. The test result is read when cartridge insertion is detected. Selecting
"back" cancels the test and does not save any test data.
The user must select the associated control test with a known outcome that they
wish to run for the inserted test. Selecting "Cancel" cancels the test and does not
save any test data.
The test will timeout if a selection is not made before the timer ends.
The instrument displays the lot number and expiry date for the test inserted into
the instrument in addition to the test number and control ID.
The test time is taken from the cassette insert event.
The test type, user ID and remaining time of incubation are shown on the display.
An expired test cannot run on the instrument.
The test result are either pass or fail. Failed results do not display a test outcome,
instead display "Error: {0}" as the test result. The error code can be looked up in the
Error section of this user manual.
The control result window includes:
• Test Number
• Control ID
• Time and Date of Test
• Control Type
• Lot Number for test used
• Expiry Date for the test used
• User ID
• Result
• LIS status
The result can be printed or exported to an attached USB Key (see Section 7 for more information) or LIS (see
Section 4 for more information).
