PC software installation

Install the PC software delivered with the unit on the computer.
If required the programme operating instructions can be printed out after installation.

Initiate the programme.

Attention: First connect the stereo plug to the socket on the unit then connect the
interface plug to the PC. When disconnecting do this in the reverse order.

Now the unit can be set up using the PC. Please note the operating hints/help
built into the programme.
Advantages of setting up using a PC:
• Unit data is stored in a data base and can be recalled at any time.
• Text input from a keyboard is easier and quicker.
• Using the programme measured values can be read out, archived and displayed
on the PC screen.
Attention:
- The front mounted RS 232 interface has priority over the rear mounted interface (the
rear mounted RS 232 interface is switched off when the stereo plug is inserted).
- Only one interface (RS 232 or RS 422 or RS 485) can be used at any time for setting
up.
1. Using the PC programme select the required unit under the main bar header
"Functions" and then select the feature "Create set up disk". Now select the unit with
the required parameters, now the set up data is copied to the diskette.
Hint: In order to use this function the unit must already be available in the PC data
bank.
2. Place the parameter diskette into your unit(s), select "Diskette/Set up from diskette"
After a few minutes the unit is available with the new set up installed.
Attention: Once the transfer has been completed remove the set up diskette and
replace this with a new data diskette.
Basic settings:
• Settings that are generally valid to the unit, e.g. date, time etc.:
Description of where the unit is installed (important when using more than one unit).
20 characters.
Hint: This is stored on the diskette. Graphics and tables in the PC are identified with
this text. The unit identifier is also available when exporting data into other spread
sheet programmes.
