• PROFIBUS DP: Setting up is only required if PROFIBUS measurement points
are to be used.
See "Analogue inputs - Signal" and "Analogue inputs - PROFIBUS DP".
"Measured value monitor": The (Bus) measurement signals are interrogated by a
superior control system.
"Mono master": Due to its single master (mono master class 1) status the unit
requests the PROFIBUS measurement point signals. No further master units allowable!
Baud rate for PROFIBUS DP.
If a measured value is not received from the Bus within the preset time, bus operation
is faulty (possibly wrong settings). The unit displays this on screen. In this case
measurements cannot be received.
• Memory/operation mode: Memory availability information and normal
operation/simulation selection.
"Normal operation": The unit operates normally using the actual connected input
signals.
"Simulation": The unit operates using simulated signals. The active unit settings are
used for this feature. The real measured value display and storage is switched off
during simulation. Instead of this the simulated values are displayed and stored.
Hint: When returning to normal operation always use the "Signal analysis - Reset"
feature. This avoids falsifying the real values with simulated min, max, and average
values when leaving simulation. If the previous values are required then export them
by saving them on diskette (see chapter "Handling in operation - Available functions -
Diskette").
Here the channel open circuit monitor (regular voltage pulse) for direct thermocouple
connection can be switched off or on.
