Ingredients
3,5 cups (500g) flour
3 tablespoons of butter at room temperature
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet of dry yeast
¼ cup (about 60ml) warm water, then another
2/3 cup (about 160ml) warm water
Preparation
1. Attach the dough hook to the mixer head.
2. Add the flour, butter, sugar and salt to the mixing bowl.
3. Knead the ingredients on the "Folding/Kneading" speed setting for about 5 se-
conds.
4. In another bowl add the dry yeast to 60ml of warm water, mix together and leave
to rest for 10 minutes.
5. Pour the mixture slowly into the feeder tube while mixing at a low speed for
about 30 seconds, then continue mixing for a further 45 seconds, until the dough
is smooth.
6. Stop the appliance and remove the splash guard.
7. Scrape the dough down from the sides of the bowl with a spatula. Put the splash
guard back on.
8. Let the appliance run on the "Folding/Kneading" setting for 1 minute.
9. Switch off the appliance completely, unplug at the socket and take out the
dough. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in another, greased bowl.
10. Leave the dough in a warm, draft-free place for 1 to 1,5 hours. The ball should
double in volume.
