Chapter 9 Troubleshooting
Error messages via HMI display (optional)

As soon as the labeler detects a fault, the Alpha Entry interrupts the label cycle. The device
switches to the stand-by mode, the green status LED on the control panel goes out, and the
red one is lit. A message whose meaning is explained below will appear in the 2nd row of the
display:

Once the fault has been repaired, acknowledge the fault by pressing the [Start] or [Stop] but-
ton.

DESCRIPTION
This message indicates in-
ternal communication prob-
lems between the controller
and the motor controller.
The storage test carried out
when switching on the con-
troller resulted in a check
sum error.
The label sensor does not
detect the label material.

CAUSE/REMEDY
Potential causes may include
loose cable connections (inside
or outside the controller) or strong
magnetic fields nearby. If neces-
sary, have this checked by a
technician ...
Some activated parameters may
have been damaged. If the fault
is still detected following a new
storage test, a controller chip may
be damaged. Please contact our
Service Hotline (see page 6).
Check the setting of the label
detection sensor. Check whether
there are labels on the liner pa-
per.
