Mounting and positioning the label sensor
The label sensor detects the transition between labels. It is responsible for repeatedly stop-
ping a label on the peel bar in exactly the same place.

Positioning information
In order to prevent potential detection problems during calibration (see page 41), the sensor
must be positioned over an unprinted area of the label, if possible (if the label is printed). Two
arrows on the sensor housing indicate the detection point on the sensor. Incorrect detection
caused by alternation between bright and dark elements in a printed area can be avoided as
a result. With a die-cut label, the photocells should be moved to the "straightest" label edge
(crosswise).

Approach
Use screw no. 2 (see Fig. 6-4) to secure the label sensor to the sensor hold-
er.
Mount the sensor holder using the screws and nuts provided (see Fig. 6-4,
no. 1).
The label sensor can be adjusted via the slots on the holder.
