Chapter 7 Operation
LABEL TRIGGER (TRIGGERING LABELS)
The input signal for triggering the application process is configured with this parameter. The
input (Product 1 or 2) and signal type (edge, level triggering...) for starting the labeling are
specified.
Value
001
002
003
004
When the input (001 or 002) has been specified, it can be combined with various functions.
This can be done by adding the individual values (see example in "Label options", page 59).
Permitted setting range 001-062.
Value
+004
+008
+016
+032
Press [Enter] to edit the configuration parameter (for password prompt, see page 56).
Afterwards, press the [] or [] *buttons to increase / decrease the value of the
parameter.
To store the value, please press [Enter].
Press the [] or [] buttons to go to the next configuration parameter.
To exit configuration selection, please press [Start] or [Stop] respectively.

Function
Selects the M12 connection socket "Product 1" as the trigger input.
Selects the (optional) M12 connection socket "Product 2" as the trigger input.

Activates the level control
Reacts to the signal level instead of the signal edge

Activates the signal monitoring
The input signal level must have changed before the labeling cycle is triggered.
Otherwise an error (E07) is generated if the level remains unchanged (e.g. if the
product spacing is too small).
Without this function, the labeler (without any fault) would not start the labeling
cycle until it is triggered by a change in level. (Products with insufficient spacing
would be undetected and unlabeled).
Activates the signal inversion (signal reversal)
The Alpha Entry responds to correspondingly inverted signal states.
Activates use of NPN sensors
Only a sensor with an NPN output may now be connected instead of PNP or
push-pull sensors. In this regard, however, the respective hardware jumper must
have been removed from the CPU board (remove jumper JP1 for "Product 1";
JP2 "Product 2" // for PNP; insert jumper for NPN; not relevant for push-pull).
