Adjusting the label sensor

At the factory, the label sensor is fitted with a wheel for adjusting the sensitivity. The sensitivi-
ty can be adjusted manually and without requiring tools.
If the adjusting wheel is not required (to prevent unintentional adjustment), it can be re-
moved. A screw driver will then be required to make any further adjustments.
Prerequisites

Sensor is fitted and connected (see page 33).

Label material is inserted correctly (see above)

Approach
Remove one or more labels from the carrier material and place only the
carrier material in the sensor.
If the yellow "OUT" LED is not illuminated when the carrier material is insert-
ed, increase the sensitivity by turning the potentiometer clockwise until the
yellow "OUT" LED switches on.
Then turn the potentiometer clockwise another half a turn.
Slide the material further in until a label is located in the sensor. If the setting
is correct, the yellow "OUT" LED goes out.
If not, reduce the sensitivity by turning the potentiometer anticlockwise until
the "OUT" LED goes out.
Check the setting by testing whether the display changes from gap to label.
