9. Return the cot to its upright position.
10. Replace the litter (removed in step 1).
11. Verify proper operation.
a. Use one finger to raise and lower the hook arm assembly. Confirm that the hook arm assembly moves freely on the
cot.
b. Swing the head end legs back and forth to make sure that the safety hook and guide bracket do not cause
interference.
12. Complete Installing the catch plate (page 14).

Stryker recommends that you follow the specifications listed below for the catch plate installation:
•
Angle (A) of the loading tray does not exceed 16° (Figure 9)
•
Height (B) from the top of the catch plate to the ground is between 28.0" and 29.4" (Figure 9)
•
Horizontal clearance (C) between the safety hook and catch plate is sufficient for unloading (Figure 10)
