Connect the HMI cable (5) to the connection (11) that has
become free.
Route the HMI cable (5) down so that it's close to the avail-
able cables. If possible, guide the HMI cable around in front
of the battery cable (14) and then down behind the remain-
ing cables.

Connect the HMI cable (5) to the ConnectModule (7) at con-
nection 1.
Connect the cable (12) of the operating unit/display holder
to the ConnectModule (7) at connection 2.
Installing the ConnectModule

Insert the ConnectModule (7) into the holder (6).
Screw the ConnectModule to the retaining plate of the drive
unit with the direct installation screw (2).

Note: For eBikes where the drive unit is fastened directly to
the frame without retaining plates, the ConnectModule must
be screwed on according to the specifications of the bicycle

Note: Ensure that the cables are not jammed or rubbing
against sharp edges.
Installing the Left Design Cover
Note: For a bicycle-specific drive unit cover, you must check
whether it can continue to be used or whether it has to be re-
placed.

Hang the design cover (9) on the front rib of the drive
unit (17) and then attach the rear part of the design cover.
Use the two screws (8) unscrewed at the start to secure the
design cover (9).
