RANSMISSION BOX LUBRICATION REAR
Every 3000 mi check that the oil touches the hole for the
level plug "A"; if the oil is below this level, top up with oil of
the type prescribed in the table in section B, chapter 2.
About every 10000 Km it is necessary to replace the oil.
This must be carried out when the engine is warm to allow
the oil to drain more quickly and thoroughly. To bring the
rear transmission box up to temperature, drive for some
kms and replace the oil following the below procedures:
• Place a pan under the rear transmission box to collect
the used oil.
• Remove the oil filler cap "B" to let the oil drain out
more quickly.
• Unscrew the oil-draining plug "C" and let all the oil in
the transmission box flow out.
• Tighten the oil-draining plug and tighten it to the torque
prescribed in the table in section B, chapter 4.
• Unscrew the level plug "A".
• Pour in new oil, of the type prescribed in the table in
section B, chapter 2, through the inlet hole until the
level touches the hole for the level plug.
• Refit and tighten the oil filler cap.
• Screw oil level plug once again.

UBRICATION OF THE SHAFT WITH DRIVE COUPLINGS
The vehicle has a transmission shaft equipped with
lubricators. The lubrication procedure for the 3 points
illustrated in the figure must be carried out every 12000
mi; or at least once every 2 years, if less distance has
been covered.
Type of lubricants to be used:
To lubricate the cardanic transmissions, only use
saponified greases with class 2 consistency lithium and
265/295 penetration. The dropping point must be about
180°C.
The lubricants must not contain MOS2 additives.
