ONNECTING RODS
Carry out the removal procedures in reverse order,
remembering that:
•
Given the high load and stresses to which the fastening
screws for the crankshaft connecting rods are
subjected, they must be replaced with new screws.
•
The assembly backlash between the bearing and the
connecting rod pin is 0.022 minimum, 0.064 maximum;
•
The backlash between the shimmings for the
connecting rods and those for the crankshaft is 0,30 ÷
0,50 mm;
•
Tighten the screws on the caps using a torque wrench
to the torque prescribed in the table in chapter 4, section
B.

EASSEMBLY
Carry out the removal procedure in reverse order,
remembering to:
•
Correctly position the crankshaft support flange,
following the assembly direction marked by the holes
"A";
•
Apply teflon tape on the two lower fastening screws
for the rear flange to avoid oil leakages.
