Ignition timing
Check and adjust ignition timing as follows:
a. Ignition timing is checked with a tim­
ing light by observing the position of
the stationary pointer on the crankcase

and the timing marks on the flywheel.
"F": Retarded firing point.
'T': Top dead center.
b. Connect timing light to the spark plug

lead wire.

c. Start the engine and keep the engine
!
speed as specified.
Specified engine speed: 1,100 r/min
d. The stationary pointer should line up
with the "F" timing mark on the fly­
wheel. If it does not align, remove the
flywheel and loosen the pulser coil
base plate screws. Move the complete
base plate until "F" and the pointer
marks align.

Contröler et regler I'avance å I'allumage comme
suit:
a. L'avance
il
I'allumage est contrölee avec
un stroboscope en observant la position de
I'indicateur fixe situe sur le carter et des
reperes d'allumage situes sur le volant.
"F"; Point d'allumage retarde.
uT":
Point-mort-haut.
b. Brancher le stroboscope sur le
fil
de la
bougie.
c. Demarrer le moteur et le faire tourner au
regime specifie.
Regime moteur specifie: 1.100 tr/mn
d. L'indicateur fixe doit etre aligne avec le re ­
pere d'allumage "F" situe sur le volant. Si
ce n'est pas le cas, enlever le volant et des ­
serrer les vis de la plaque de base de la
bobine du pulseur. Deplacer la plaque de
base complt!te jusqu'å ce que le repere
"Fn
et I'indicateur soient alignes.

Zundzeitpunkt
Den ZOndzeitpunkt wie folgt kontrollieren
und gegebenenfalls einstellen:
a. Der ZOndzeitpunkt wird mit Hilfe einer
PrOflampe geprOft. indem die Position
des stationär am Kurbelgehäuse ange ­
brachten Zeigers mit der Position der
ZOndzeitpunktmarkierung am Sch­
wungrad verglichen wird.
..F": Verzögerter ZOndzeitpunkt
..l":
Oberer Totpunkt
b. Eine PrOflampe an das ZOndkerzen­
kabel
anschlie~en.
c. Den Motor anlassen und auf der vor ­
geschriebenen Drehzahl halten.
Vorgeschriebene Motordrehzahl:
1.100 U/min
d. Der stationäre Zeiger sollte mit der
Markierung "F" am Schwungrad
Obereinstimmen. Ist dies nicht der Fall,
das Schwungrad abnehmen und die
Schrauben der Impulsgeberwicklungs ­
Grundplatte lösen. Die gesamte Grund­
platte bewegen. bis die Markierung ..F"
mit dem Zeiger fluchtet.
